The Mirage of Personal UX Maturity, Part 1
by Darren Hood
In this post, I’d like to introduce you to my new podcast — The World of UX! The purpose of the podcast is to cover anything and everything related to user experience AND to provide an expert and authoritative voice to cover the subject. This is much needed, especially in a time where UX space is extremely noisy and there’s a dearth of quality content.
The following presents an overview of the episode, followed by a link to the audio. Enjoy!!!
Many UX professionals know about corporate UX maturity, but what about personal UX maturity? Where do we stand, as individuals, when it comes to our personal understanding of the discipline and how fine-tuned is our current level of operation?
In this episode of The World of UX, I begin another series focusing on mirages associated with how long it truly takes to develop UX skill and knowledge, focusing on three questions:
- Can you really take a course to learn UX in weeks or months?
- Is UX so simple that “anybody can do it?”
- Is UX a complex discipline or is it as simple as some people claim it is?
Listen to the podcast, below, for a breakdown of these questions.
